Third generation Black Hawk for the US Army. Powered by the T700-GE-701D engine with 100 shp more than 701C of UH-60L and fitted with a full digital cockpit and composite rotor blades.
Variants includes SOA MH-60M, Medevac HH-60M and the USAF new Combat Rescue Helicopter HH-60W. Export variant is S-70i.
In 2007, the Pentagon approved the full rate production of 1,227 UH-60M aircraft and long lead procurement for 11 Upgrade LRIP aircraft. In June 2007, the 4-101st Aviation Battalion became the first unit equipped with the UH-60M baseline model of the aircraft. UH-60M saw their first combat deployment during 2009 in Afghanistan. Aircraft 300th was delivered on July 2011 with 950 expected by 2025.
