Defense.gov, October 12, 2021 - Boeing Aerospace Operations Inc., St. Louis, Missouri, was awarded a $14,080,006 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for contractor field service representatives support and for de-population and population support for Spanish Army CH-47 units.
Bids were solicited via the internet with one received. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 30, 2024.

Spanish CH-47F Chinook
Helis.com - Under a program approved in 2018, Boeing is upgrading 17 FAMET (Spanish Army Aviation) CH-47D Chinook helicopters to the CH-47F variant.
The first helicopter was delivered to the Boeing Ridley Park, PA facility in 2020 and returned to FAMET last month with the new serial ET-420 following the D models which ended in the ET-419.
Three more Chinooks are expected to arrive by early 2022. The 17th and final aircraft is planned for 2025.
Spain received 19 CH-47Cs in the early 1970s that were upgraded to the CH-47D variant in the 1990s. They are used by the Helicopter Transport Battalion 5 (BHELTRA V) based in Colmenar Viejo, Madrid.
