A collective name for a group of operations conducted by Rhodesian (now
Zimbabwe) Forces outside the country's borders against ZANU and ZAPU insurgents attempting to infiltrate the country via the Tete Province of Mozambique. From time to time, these were either co-ordinated with the Portuguese authorities, or conducted jointly with Portuguese Forces.
One of the first missions in this series was at the end of 1972, when 5 Alouette III were deployed to
Centenary after attacks on farms and farmers in the area. As a result of this, it became clear that ZANU had thoroughly infiltrated the whole area, crossing the border from Tete Province in Mozambique.
