Established 1981, Air Med of the Acadian Ambulance serves 34 parishes in Louisiana and 37 counties in Texas and Jackson, Mississippi. Operated by Metro Aviation since 2002
In 2018 flew more first-response missions than any other air ambulance program in the country.
