Air Ambulance New South Wales started in the 1980s by providing an Aeromedical Rescue Helicopter Service through multiple providers. In 2012 launch a 10-year strategic plan which resulted in the the Southern region run by Toll Group and the Northern region by a joint bid by Westpac Rescue and Westpac Life Saver.
As of 2019 NSW ambulance operates 7 bases across the state with 12 AW139 of which Toll operates Bankstown, Wollongong, Orange, and Canberra bases with 8 helicopters
27-Oct-21 - Nepean Hospital in Kingswood, NSW, Australia inaugurated the helipad atop the new 14-storey clinical tower. First successful helicopter landing was performed by a Toll Air Ambulance AW139 #Nepean

15-Jun-17 - Australia Toll Rescue Helicopter Service partnered with Truth Data Insights to provide Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) services for their AW139 helicopter fleet
13-Jan-17 - Toll Rescue Helicopter Service officially launched in partnership with NSW Ambulance. AW139 provide aeromedical services to communities of NSW in the Southern Zone.
